Wow, I’m so in the mood for reviewing demos today. Hell yaaaah… No way would I rather create some music for my bands, snort a little coke, shoot some heroine and trip on LSD… Nah… I don’t fucken know. This is another review that feels like it’s going to be a carbon copy of 6000 other reviews I have written in the past. The inspiration is fucken nil. My toleration for crappy music today is below nil. Demos usually suck the fucken poodle and I wouldn’t be surprised if this shit will do the same. Fuck the world.
Just kidding. I love this shit. Global Domination is not a job, it’s a calling. It’s a muthafucken blessing to have to go thru shitty demo after shitty demo. Fuck it all and no regrets. Did I just quote Metallica? Someone. Shoot. Me.

“Escape From”, huh? Poland, people… I don’t necessarily mean they should escape from Poland I mean they are from Poland. Describing themselves as “blackened death metal” and considering they are from Poland – this could be enjoyable despite the Polish demo- and song titles. We all know bands like Behemoth, Decapitated, Vader and Lost Soul put their country on the map for a reason…
Escape From is definitely making for a decent listening session though they are not really at the level of their countrymen just yet. These dudes have decided to mix 2 types of vocals; one growl and one more blackish sounding. When both are in use at the same time it’s just a mess and individually none of them are strong enough to stand on their own. The screamier version could fit in Raised Fist, the problem is that not even Raised Fist’s vocals fit in Raised Fist. Or they do in some weird way, but they are not exactly what you’d call good, you know. That’s the weakest part of the band – the vocals. In this band, Escape From, I mean. Not Raised Fart. But it goes for both bands when I think about it. Only Raised Anus is a hella lot better in all areas. Raised Anus… Holy shit that is one awesome moniker.
Leave me aloooooone.
Musically they have some good shit going for them, nothing we haven’t heard before (we know it all from bands like Zyklon, Behemoth and whatnot) and ultimately Escape From is not a band we’ll see dominate the world any time soon. By the way, some of the riffage reminds me of Vicious Art’s way of doing riffs. That is a compliment but it’s hardly enough to make me wanna French-kiss their cocks.
They give this away for free and it’s Polish which means it’s better than yer average demo band.
PS. There are three things in this review that are written in both italics and bold. If anyone can say where I took them quotes from you will win a dildo made out of gold. You’ll have to get it from Mike Poggione’s anus yourself though. All hail The Mike. Not.
